Why invest
Snowmass Real Estate now: The Snowmass Renaissance
Already one of North America's premier resorts, Snowmass is undergoing a renaissance that ranges from over $50 million in lodging renovations in the past two years to a new $21 million entryway project to
a new base village and on-mountain improvements.
Snowmass On-Mountain Improvements
Recent on-mountain and ski area facility improvements total over $45 million (including summer 2007). Improvements include the Village Express six-pack lift and Sky Cab gondola in the 2005-2006 season and the new Elk Camp Gondola and terrain park improvements for the 2006-2007 season. For the 2007-2008 season the new Elk Camp Meadows beginner's area will debut at the top of the Elk Camp Gondola with a new quad chair, two new surface lifts and six acres of terrain exclusively dedicated to beginners.
Snowmass Village Lodging Renovations
In the past three years, Snowmass lodges have spent over $50 million in renovations on everything from exterior work to new conference facilities to updated room interiors.
Base Village
The future base village, slated for completion in 2011, will feature a 25,000-square-foot children's center, a 15,000-square-foot conference space, 64,000 square feet of new shops and restaurants, a community aquatic center, a 246-unit conference hotel, The Little Nell at Snowmass, and 359 condominiums.
Children's Center: An exciting new children's center enriches a child's mind, body and spirit while sharing a common appreciation and respect for the pristine Colorado environment. The 25,000-square-foot facility slated to open in 2008 offers care and programs for children two months to 18 years. Interactive interior design includes climbing structures, reading caves, sound systems, mobiles, aquariums and more. The center is conveniently located at the base of Fanny Hill so families arriving via the snow from slopeside lodging have easy access. A private, on-snow learning area includes two 100-foot-long Magic Carpet-type lifts and immediate access to the Cabriolet. Kids and teens will have numerous nighttime offerings.
Retail, Restaurants & Nightlife:
Eleven new restaurants and bars, live outdoor music in the new events plaza, a two-story bar with a huge patio and deck areas, indoor music, DJs and dancing, and 64,000-square-feet of new retail and restaurant space.
